Make Do and Mend Challenge
October 29th, 2008 • Related • Filed Under
Rob over at Rob’s World has posted a new challenge for bloggers and families everywhere - the Make Do and Mend Challenge.
The challenge is pretty simple. Each week you need to repair something that you otherwise would have thrown out. Go to Rob’s blog each Sunday night and post your repair for the week. What have you got to lose? It’s recycling and budget saving in one swoop.

I guess I should enter. I have a cheap cordless phone for the bedroom that died, but the battery isn’t that old. Probably dropped once too often. I took it apart the other day and put it back together (twice - took me a while to figure out how the metal connectors fit where the phone rests in its cradle).
Success! Now it works again. Until I knock the phone off the bedside table again.

Great challenge! I’m all about recycling or fixing stuff. Why buy it if you can fix what you have!?
